Ashley Todd admitted her claim of being attacked by an Obama supporter was all a hoax.

Todd was arrested today and charged with making a false police report. She remains in police custody.

Right from the beginning the details of Ashley Todd’s story didn’t add up. The 20-year-old McCain volunteer claimed she was ambushed at an ATM machine by a knife wielding black man who was angered by a McCain sticker on her car bumper.

She described being punched and knocked to the ground and she said her assailant etched a backwards ‘B’ in her face.

Todd did not report the crime to police until the next day. Her “injuries” were very suspect and her story changed by the hour.

This case is similar to the 1987 Tawana Brawley case. In both cases, it was very evident that the alleged victims were lying.

Yet the media gave credence to these women by continuing to report the story as if the crimes were legitimate.
